JUNE 13-17, 2018
Great Lakers Chapter and Ohio River Valley Chapter
Amherst, Ohio

Timber Ridge Campground

Join us for a fun rally that will include visits to the Duck Tape Festival and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Activities on Wednesday will include an evening campfire with hot dogs and s'mores provided by the chapter.

Thursday activities will include a 10 a.m. tour of the Duck Tape Distribution Center in Avon, Ohio. The cost of this tour is $5, which includes a goodie bag. We will go into town for lunch (on your own). We will have a meet and greet at the campground that evening. Bring an appetizer to share.

We will carpool from the campground at 9:30 a.m. Friday for a visit to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, located on the shore of Lake Erie in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. Senior admission is $21.25 (subject to change). The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation was established in 1983 by Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun to recognize the artists, producers, engineers and other notable figures who have influenced the development of rock and roll. Cleveland was chosen as the Hall of Fame's permanent home in 1986. More information is available at www.rockhall.com. The calendar for 2018 has not been set yet. There may be a concert in the evening.

On Saturday, we will carpool to Avon for the Duck Tape Festival featuring lots of unique items made with Duck Tape. We will return to the campground for a Saturday evening potluck. The hosts will provide the main entrée. Bring a side dish or dessert to share.

Timber Ridge Campground amenities include an indoor swimming pool, game room and fishing pond. Area attractions include wineries, fruit farms, antique shops, bike trails and the Cedar Point Amusement Park. Boat rides also are available (see www.donparsonsmarina.com for more information).

Campsites are $37/night for full hookups. Make reservations now through Glenda at 605-415-076, and specify that you are with RVing Women. We have reserved 10 campsites for this rally and can reserve additional sites if needed. Rally host Naomi Weinert has made a deposit for each of the reserved sites. Attendees will need to reimburse Naomi $37 each; the balance can be paid to the campground on arrival (cash or checks, no credit cards).

Timber Ridge Campground is located at 51900 Portman Road, Amherst, Oh 44001.

Elaine McCoy and Naomi Weinert are the rally hosts for this event. After you have reserved your campsite, contact Elaine at 216- 224-9075 or elainemski@yahoo.com or Naomi at weinturv@core.com or 614-565-0674 to let them know you are attending. Also let them if you have transportation for carpooling.

Please be sure to also register for this rally on the RVW website after reserving your campsite. The hosts will be in touch with attendees to see what extras they may want to do.

There will a $10 per person rally fee for this event to cover the hot dogs and s'mores, a Sunday morning hitch-up breakfast, and the main entrée for our Saturday potluck dinner.
