Sequoyah State Park
Join us for a fun-filled weekend at Sequoyah State Park, a large, beautifully wooded state park located right on Ft. Gibson Lake. The park has numerous hiking trails, a nature center, a golf course, marina and beautiful views of the lake from the campground.
We have reserved 35 sites in the Seminole Campground, all with electric, water and concrete pads. A limited number have full hook-ups. The water and electric-only sites have the best views of the lake. Rates range from $25 to $30/night. Make your reservations by calling 918-772-2046 and note you are with Mid-America RVing Women.
The nearby town of Wagoner will be hosting the 40th Annual Bluegrass and Chili Cook-Off Festival during the rally dates. The festival features free live music performances, crafts, a classic car show, and more. Additionally, we will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Woodstock with our very own music festival – “RVW Style”! More details will come, but start digging out your 60’s memorabilia, bell bottoms and love beads! An optional tour will be scheduled at The Five Civilized Tribes Museum in Muskogee, Oklahoma. It displays the art, history and culture of the Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Creek and Seminole tribes. The museum also features the history of the Trail of Tears. Another site of interest in the area is Fort Gibson Historic Site, which was built in 1824 to serve as a staging area for military expeditions exploring the west and seeking peace between the Indians. The fort was also used during the Civil War, the Reconstruction Era and the Indian War.
Rally hosts are Nancy West, Holly Bridwell, Sharon Allmon and Susan Trepoy. For information, contact Nancy West at firstname.lastname@example.org.
