The Texas Ramblin’ Roses have another fun rally coming up at Oakdale RV Park. It is run by the city of Glen Rose, Texas. In addition to all the amenities at the park, there are lots of other nearby things to do. Big Rock Park is just across the street from and offers hiking and kayaking free to the public. There is also kayaking nearby on the Brazos and Colorado Rivers, providing the water level flow and depth is acceptable in October. Dinosaur Valley State Park is just six miles away and offers hiking and viewing of dinosaur tracks in the river/creek beds. A Texas state park pass gets you in free and the park has overnight camping. Seven miles away is Fossil Rim Wildlife Center ( which offers several chances to view wild animals in a safari type environment. You should book tickets in advance on the website.
