For many RVing Women members, this has been a summer of disappointments.

Among other things, RVW chapter rallies had to be cancelled, campgrounds were closed then opened then closed, and there were fewer opportunities to meet up with friends and share our love of camping. Also, the 2020 Sarasota, Florida convention had to be postponed until May of 2021.

One of the most popular events at RVW conventions is the maintenance classes taught the two days prior to the convention’s official start. With Sarasota postponed, it meant no fall maintenance class.

Now for the good news!

RVing Women has planned a Virtual RV Maintenance Rally to be held on October 20. This inaugural, one-day, virtual rally can be accessed by anyone with a computer, tablet or phone. Cost for the event is $65 for RVW members and $130 for non-members. The Rally will be available for viewing for 11 days, through October 31.

The rally is geared toward those who want to learn more about basic RVing and maintenance. It will be presented by RVW members Barbara (Jordy) Jording and her wife, Liz Wharton. Jordy is an RVIA/RVDA certified RV technician and Liz offers plenty of support and technical expertise.

Are you new to RVing? Never had the time to look at basic systems in your RV?

Have you not yet made it to an RVW convention to take Basic or Advanced RV Maintenance?

Do you know the safe and proper sequence to follow that will protect both you and your RV when you arrive in your campsite – before hooking your RV up to anything? What about basic multimeter operation? If you asked,
“what’s a multimeter?” this virtual rally is perfect for you. Have you sanitized your fresh-water tank? Are you afraid of using your propane appliances? Do you understand your tires and weight distribution? And what the heck is TPM?

Even for those who may have owned an RV for years and don’t consider themselves a newbie, this rally offers the opportunity to pick up safety tips, hints and a new understanding of issues we are all faced with as RVers.

When you sign up for the virtual rally you will be able to attend four classes:
1) Water Systems
2) Propane
3) Basic Electric Systems and Electrical Tools
4) Safety

The only way you will be able to get this instruction is to sign up for the October 20th virtual rally. You can access the sessions at any time through October 31st.

On October 20, the day of the live rally, you will have an opportunity to ask questions during each class and Jordy and Liz will answer as many as possible at the end of each class.

You must register by October 7, 2020 to allow time to receive a link to the rally. Instructions on starting times and a link to join the virtual rally will be emailed to each registrant.

Cancellation Policy: No refunds.
